Infidelity Trax | Falling Slowly| Once |Glen Hansard & Marketa Iglova

I don’t know you but I want you all the more for that
Words fall through me and always fool me and I can’t react
And games that never amount to more than they’re meant
Will play themselves out

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You’ve made it now

Falling slowly eyes that know me and I can’t go back
Moods that take me and erase me and I’m painted black
You have suffered enough and warred with yourself
It’s time that you won

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you had the choice
You’ve made it now

Falling slowly sing your melody
I’ll sing along

I paid the cost too late

Now you’re gone.

  1. Oh my gosh, this is one of my favorite songs of all time, written and sung by my favorite artist of all time. Kind of a trigger for me since we went to see Glen in concert while he was having his affair. But it’s amazing how all of Glen’s music is now more relevant to me than ever before after listening to him for years. Thanks for posting.

  2. This is a beautiful song. I want to thank you for sharing your journey on this blog. On December 27, 2013, I found out my husband of 9 years (and father to our four children) had been having an affair. He is still not sure what he wants, and I am struggling through this limbo, but your words are helping me navigate. I stumbled across a song today that spoke to me. It is from an unexpected source, but I thought I’d send it your way since you might also find something in it. “Beautiful Pain” by Eminem. Like I said, an unexpected source, but right now, it is my anthem.
